So it really was a compass after all that lead Tick on this stupidly dangerous trip that she had so dimwittedly volunteered for. She was unsure if the Rocksquatter's explanation had been as hands-on as it could have been - voices without body in the caverns she was supposed to let guide her, images made of light, and boxes holding more books' knowledge inside than would fit to bring back - but was confident she would find a workaround.
