Considering that Bay might've taken your work, and still produced movie that critics hated, I'd settle for appalled. But since said movie brought in so much cash, then I guess flattered?

believe it or not, something similar happened to my roommate. he does set design, and he created an illuminated staircase for a show. while it was being built in a shop in miami, the owners friend, who was a big name set designer, saw the stairs and thought it would be a neat thing to try and duplicate for the next thing he was working on. and what was that project? the 2010 Academy Awards.
sometimes its tricky to get proper recognition. you could look up the storyboard artist and he'd probably say he was inspired by a video he saw on the internet that a friend showed him. you might be able to dig through the credits to get some contact info, and show him the side by side shots as a reference.
