Description
Because there is so much text, I don't expect anyone to actually read it. This is mostly to make it easier for me to keep track of. If you are curious about something about them and you either don't feel like reading what's written, or you just can't find it, let me know and I'll answer you directly!Do you guys remember when val was an only child? (or at least had no siblings mentioned) and then suddenly nina was her sister, then her twin. and then mina popped up. and then val got a clone but i was like "eh whatever, make them quadruplets" and now there's a fifth one. for no good reason, either. i had no ideas for her, but i randomly decided that we needed a fifth one. now we have it.
i'm kind of sorry.
This looks like they're at some kind of interview, so I guess I'll just take the opportunity to blab on about them.
This picture was made over the course of like three days, while I was sick (and still am) so I'm going to apologize for any mistakes in the picture or story, if you're actually masochistic enough to read my ramblings. Also, a lot of this information may end up being changed.
The birth order is:
Mina (Green)
Irina (Blue)
Nina (Red)
Valentina: (Purple)
Yekatarina: (Orange)
Basically they're drawn in reverse birth order lol-
When being referred to as a group, they can be called MINTY. (Val uses the nickname "Tina" sometimes, so that the acronym works )
Now let's talk about their birth (births? idk-), childhood, and uh... whatever else! Fun, fun, fun. Obviously, considering their mother had five people growing inside her stomach at once, and then had to push all of those people out, there were some difficulties. She had a big problem with morning sickness, frequent back aches, and all that fun stuff associated with pregnancy. She actually didn't know until she gave birth that she was going to have quintuplets. She was certain that she had twins, or maybe even triplets, but quintuplets, especially identical ones? No one could have guessed. There were a couple sets of twins in the small town they came from, however anything above that was practically unheard of. The girls were born a few weeks early, and for the first couple of weeks, no one thought that any of the children (or Katenka, their mother,) would survive. Obviously, they did. Or else I wouldn't be writing this. Oops, spoilers.
A lot of the small town actually assisted in raising the girls when they were very young. (Considering their father worked for around 12 hours a day 6 days a week to try and ensure he made enough money to care for them, their mother, and their older brother, he wasn't able to assist in taking care of them) For the first few years of their life, they didn't interact with other children very much. Most of their interaction was with old housewives whose children had moved out years ago, who wanted to assist Katenka in caring for them. Having so much interaction with so many mature people during a very impressionable time of their life lead them to be more mature than a lot of children their age, something that has stuck with them even into adulthood. (especially considering the fact that they had to later on take care of their younger siblings, cousins, and other children as they grew older)
Despite the fact that they were generally more mature, that didn't completely stop them from getting into trouble. They dressed very similarly, wearing the same outfits in different colors (or the exact same outfit when in school, with pins to identify who is who, and different colored hair bows/different hairstyles). This is because it was easier to make/buy clothes that were rather plain, and so that it was easier to ensure they were all equal. The different colors were mainly to tell them apart easier. There were many times when two girls would switch clothes and imitate each other to mess with people (or to get the other girl in trouble), and they especially loved surprising people who were visiting the town for whatever reason. They probably pulled other minor pranks too, but switching was the most common one.
As the girls got older (probably about ten), their parents wanted to move to a larger city, somewhere with better medical care, and a doctor overseas was interested in them, wanted to know more about them, and agreed that they needed better care. The doctor offered to pay for the majority of the costs of moving such a large family over, and offered them a place to stay, which they accepted.
Since then, they've lived [wherever my stories take place]. That's when Katenka met Marisol and the other moms, Tina became friends with Carmen and Pearl, etc.
The girls had to deal with some bullying because they spoke almost no English, obviously the fact that they're quintuplets was weird, they were all kinda nerdy, and other little things like that, but they didn't suffer TOO much, and things rarely ever got physical.
While they aren't exactly celebrities or anything where they live (I mean, there are two headed girls, 6'2 and musclebound girls, clones, and who knows what else), they are fairly well known, and they have their "fans" (though not as many as Jiao and Jun). It's kind of hard to miss five identical girls walking down the street. It also doesn't help that Tina has children of her own. A set of twins... And they're not human. There are a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding them, including that they are clones, or aliens, or that their mother made a deal with the devil, and other, more complicated and convoluted theories. I will not confirm or deny anything. uvu
They are very healthy, considering the circumstances they came from. They all get cold somewhat easily, and have difficulty controlling their temperatures (which is another part of why they moved, it's hard to live in a rural Russian village when your children get cold easily. Tina has the least problem, Kat has the most.), they had very weak immune systems as children (they have all since gotten stronger and are pretty average, but Mina still gets sick easily). They also have poor eyesight. Tina and Nina aren't affected too badly, but Mina and Kat wear glasses, and Irina wears contacts.
Their mother is alright now. Obviously when she was pregnant/they were very young, it was difficult for her physically and mentally. They were pretty difficult on their father too, especially since he worked so much and didn't have any time to relax.
Now we can finally talk about the individual girls and their personalities! Woohoo, just what everyone wanted. Totally. Not sarcasm at all.
going in birth order (reverse of the picture XD):
Mina: Mina is the oldest of the group, even if not by much. Regardless, since she was the oldest, she was expected to be the responsible one. She is still the most responsible of the group. She worked as a secretary for a year, but eventually quit as she didn't like the treatment from her boss, and because Nina got a good job. She stays at home now, and acts almost as a mother to Nina, Irina, and Yekatarina. She cooks, cleans, and is there for them whenever they need emotional support. She's a bit shy when you first meet her. Once she knows she can trust you, she's very friendly, and loves to make jokes, even if a lot of them aren't funny to anyone but her. She is calmer and more rational than her sisters, and prefers to think things out instead of just diving in. However, she has a tendency to overthink things, which leads to her doubting herself, and being very indecisive. She also isn't very good with technology. Due to her weak immune system, she's a bit of a germophobe, and likes to ensure that the house is clean as can be. She and Irina are best friends, despite their differences, although she is close with Nina too.
Irina: (she is very likely to be changed, not a huge fan of her design and personality, but have this for now ) She is the second oldest, and thus had power over her younger siblings, although she isn't as responsible as Mina. She was bossy as a child, and still is to an extent, at least to her younger sisters, and she enjoys power. She is materialistic, and enjoys nice things. She has a fondness for anything nautical themed, although has never been on the ocean, and is actually deathly afraid of it. Despite being somewhat self centered, she does appreciate what she has, and she gives money to charity multiple times a month, unbeknownst to her sisters. She works as a maid. She and Mina are best friends, but she isn't super close with her other sisters.
Nina: Nina is a very competitive girl, and a workaholic. She likes to challenge her sisters to stupid little contests, and she's good at winning. She used to get into fist fights a lot, due to her temper and competitiveness, but she's cooled it out with help from Mina. (Although one of her hobbies is boxing, that probably helped too.) Not long before Mina quit her secretary job, Nina got a job as a sales representative. While typically coming off as cold, or sometimes feisty, with people she views as competition she is surprisingly nice to customers. Around friends and family, she is sharp as a tack, very sarcastic, and loves banter. She doesn't really have a best friend.
Valentina: Valentina is rather stoic. She dislikes showing her true emotions, even to her close friends. She occasionally shares her woes with Kat, or her mom, but even then she rarely describes the full details. Upon meeting new people, she is usually suspicious, but there are some cases where she believes someone is trustworthy right off the bat, however rare it may be. She is never open about her distrust. Once you know her, she often makes flirty jokes, and some little quips. Despite her reclusive nature, she's very open about her sexuality, and often dresses in revealing ways. She also loves to dance. She knows how to do ballet (although not at a professional level) and some other dances, and she loves cooking (although she isn't so big on cleaning, and prefers a bit of clutter). She can be described as a bit high maintenance. She loves nice things. Jewelry, pretty dresses, pets, chocolate, etc. but she usually knows where to draw the line. She's a housewife.
Yekatarina: Yekatarina is much more open than her other sisters. She's honest about her emotions, she isn't shy (in fact she's gregarious). She loves to work with Mina to throw dinner parties. Mina does most of the cooking and cleaning to prepare (although Kat helps with the cooking ), and Kat ensures that all of the guests are happy and comfortable. When not hosting a dinner party, she loves to be outdoors, and she reminisces about their childhood farm. She and Tina hike together a lot. While she is generally a pretty cheery girl, whenever something goes wrong she can be very over dramatic. She is also kind of possessive over her sisters, mostly Tina and Mina. She works as a bookstore clerk.
Wowie that was a lot of writing. These characters are barely developed, why do I have so much to say about them-
