Been obsessed with demon slayer anyway, if ash is the demon slayer verse this is what i could imagine:
*he join the demon slayer corps since his father was used to be a member of the organization but suddenly he disappeared so he set on a journey to find his father and also aim to be a hashira so that he could protect alot of people.
*There are no pokemon so i turn pikachu into a squirrel since the creator of pikachu said that pikachu is based on the Japanese squirrel.
*he can communicate with animals and they often help him during his mission
*Since he's a sleepy head he is often late during his missions
*he was trained under mr. Oak along with gary
