Description

Gale is your stereotypical goth girl with some anger issues. She normally keeps to herself and doesn't give two shits about what anyone else is doing as long as it doesn't affect her. The anger issues come into play when people mess with her or the very few people she cares about. She's argumentative and is not afraid to get into physical fights either. Gale is rather sweet though and cares deeply for her family. Her calm and collected side shows itself more as people get to know her better. Gale is the kind of person to always offer her friends snacks and drinks before she makes anything for herself. Her brother, Seth, and her grandma are the only family she's ever really had, and friends at school are far and few in-between. Because of this, she is rather standoffish upon any first meeting. She is a thinker and has everything planned out in her head. She does well in school even if she doesn't look like she puts effort into classes. Most of her serious works are done behind the scenes.

Gale, like Seth, is based off of a five-lined skink. Her coloring resembles the juveniles, due to her still being a minor. She will always have a different coloration from Seth as she ages, always being tinted with more blue. She does her make up every day, but it's usually for eyeliner and to cover any blemishes. Her eyeshadow is almost completely natural, with the only exception being a bit of blending periodically to get a smokey effect. When designing Gale, I wanted her to rival Seth's design in a duo. Seth is very large and Gale is very not large, and their personalities follow a similar pattern. Even the color pallet's saturation shift reflects their differences, as well as their similarities. Gale's palms are the same color as her underbelly and she's black-coded. Seth isn't but he can still be interpreted to be poc, genetics and headcanons and all that. I'm mainly saying this because that's a design factor, especially when it comes to real-world interpretations of Gale.

Gale is a trans lesbian and doesn't like people knowing about that due to the social repercussions she'd face while living in Knightsville. Seth couldn't give a rat's ass what Gale identifies as, but he knows she needs support where its needed. Seth can be a little too overprotective sometimes, but he means well. His little sister means the world to him and Gale loves Seth all the same. They are closely bonded as opposites. I made Gale a trans lesbian because I wanted to explore what it's like for trans people and (other members of of the lgbt+ community) to life in the midwest, especially in the middle of the backwoods.
