This is literally every ship held in the Mruss Navy (Tails Quest)... It took too long to make but I think it was worth it... (ignore the fact thJebodiah Class (Super-Heavy Battleship)
The ship was designed as a direct competitor to the rumoured Eggman's new Flying Battleship in 1996 but the project was cancelled on the grounds of being to expensive to produce and too expensive to lose. The final nail was when the dockyards managed to produce large numbers of the Warsword class battleships-which proved to be extremely capable themselves. However, when Eggman has returned to Mobuis after disappearing along with Sonic in 2003 construction was immediately started and, having most of the components copied over from the other classes of vessel the ship was fully completed in the spring of 2005... Just in time for the war with Soleanna. The ship has 15 16" and 12 8.5" (the latter lifted from scrapped Yugograds) guns for heavy targets as well as servile light and medium AA missile installations, 5" multi-purpose auto cannons, and 3" flak cannons. It displaces 70,000 long tons making it the largest conventional battleship in the world. Only one is completed with a sister ship to be finished in mid-late 2006 Perhaps the biggest issue with the ship is speed-as due to the navy's policy using coal as primary fuel of all it's surface vessels the ship can only go as fast as the Firefly Class ships capping out at 25knts.
Warsword Class (Battleship)
Praised by many as the most capable class of vessel of the navy the ship vas initially designed in the 70s as the first Mruss vessel to feature 8 16" 40 cal guns and rocket mounts. Four ships were planned intially, but due to the dire economic situation only two were then completed. Initially they had their guns distributed in two quad turrets with the middle area reserved for storage of heavy anti-ship missiles for long range work. Fully loaded the ship displaces about 38,000 long tons. Notably the two vessels were vey fast for battleships-being capable of reaching and maintaining a top cruising speed of 32knts. It was also the first Mruss ship to feature a lattice mast-giving it a unique profile. The ships first fired their guns in anger during the mutiny of 1990 and later on re-joined to be in the Mruss Imperial Navy. A third ship was laid down in 1994 as a propaganda move during the "glorious reconstruction" as Yugograd Dockyards were re-opened. When Eggman invaded Hauwee the two ships got heavily damaged with the Warword having turret 2 disabled as well as listing 15 degrees to port. To top it off the admiral of the Hauwee fleet: Victoria Wutfrau was killed on board alongside 300 sailors. While the second ship was badly leaking from laser fire and had it's boilers critically damaged with casualties of it's own. However, the 1st rank capital ships came out considerably better as compared to the 2nd and 3rd rank ships-many of which were damaged beyond repair. During the battle many lessons were learned that went into the immediate emergency re-fit to relieve the occupation. First-while the light rockets proved to be invaluable against light badinks the long range misses proved to be entirely useless against capital ships due to lack of penetration force and too expensive to be used for anything else. The guns proved to be a dangerous tool-managing to punch clean through the armour of the two egg carriers leading to their eventual destruction. However, the mountings proved far too inaccurate to fire AP shells at max elevation. As well as that a lot of new material, alloy and technology was recovered from the destroyed craft. It was studied meticulously and later on implemented in every class of ship that was present. Most notably the gun barrels were increased in length to 56 cal and the redundant missile silo was converted into a turret ring for an additional, albeit smaller, turret-with the gun configuration changed from 4-4 to 3-2-3 allowing to land more solid shots at an unprecedented 30 nautical miles when combined with a radar system that was ripped of directly from the Eggman's designs. Resulting in a ship that was regarded by the admiralty as spectacular in every regard there is. As soon as the Marianne Battleships and the third incomplete Warsword class vessel was fitted to the modern spec work was begun on constructing new 1994 spec Warsword class ships. Unorthodoxly, the dockyards took great advantage of mass production techniques by sharing equipment across many other classes of vessels such as turrets, guns, boilers, radars, etc. twelve vessels of this class have been produced making the most massed battleship of the Imperial Navy to date.
Firefly Class (former Maryanne class) (Battleship)
The Firefly Class is really just a heavily re-fitted Maryanne Class-to the point where they can both be judged as two different kinds ship altogether, even though every last Maryanne has been re-fitted into a Firefly. The HMW Maryanne was laid down in 1937 and finished in 1941 as a combination of all the lessons learned from the seven week war. During the war three main lessons were learned: First, aircraft plays an important role in combat, thus it vital to have sufficient air capability of your own and be able to deal with waves and waves of oncoming planes. Second-the days of the Armoured and Protected Cruisers were numbered as they can neither deal with submarines and aircraft, nor they can stand up to battleships and battlecruisers nor do they have the speed to keep up with destroyers and light cruisers. Third-heavy gunnery must focus on accuracy and penetration over the rate of fire-which lead to the entire class of Bellafiore Class Battleships be scrapped shortly after the end of the conflict. Despite the relatively short length of 600ft the new Marianne Battleships displaced 29,000 long tons and had twelve 45 cal 14" guns spaced in 3-3-3-3 layout giving them the heaviest broadside at the time compared to the previous designs. The ship itself had nearly no deck superstructure to speak off as instead of the increasingly popular pagoda masts the designers decided to stick with a tripod mast with two small observation decks and rangefinder mounts. The design focus was given on armour-making the ship as well defended as the metallurgy would allow-hence the monolith profile with the only protrusion being the commanders bunker-which is as thick as the belt armour coming up at 10" of layered steel-that had an emergency elevator to the citadel that was wrapped with another 12" of steel all-round plus the coal bunkers. If so is necessary the ship can be commanded from the citadel-a tradition that was later on copied for every other capital ship. Nine vessels were completed, replacing the five scrapped Bellafiore Battleships and following the gradual retirement of the Austburg class ships. Thanks to the perfected metallurgy techniques the ships aged well into the 1990s after which the HMW Firefly as well as the two Warswords faced off the Eggman's swarm. The armour, akin to two newer battleships, stood-up extremely well to missile fire receiving little damage with exception of laser fire. However the AA batteries proved to be far too outdated to deal with badniks and other airborne targets. Thus when it was refitted-as well as receiving a revised radar array and an anti-laser skin, it's AA battery was stripped out entirely and replaced mainly with 5" multi purpose guns, light-medium rocker launchers and few open mount 3" flak cannons for close quarters work. Most notably the original 14" guns were replaced with long barrel 16" guns. This helped to improve logistics as there was no more need to stock two types of main battery ammo as well as being better guns altogether as far as range, penetration and accuracy are concerned. However the battery had to be reduced to more humble 8 guns in 2-2-2-2 layout. Despite the modifications-HMW Firefly largely retained his original silhouette from the 1940s that was heavily inspired by even older designs. Nonetheless the ship proved to be highly capable in the conflict leading to all the ships from the former class to be adapted to Firefly spec.
HMW Triumph (Aircraft Carrier)
The role of the aircraft in the imperial navy has a checkuered history... As the Cruel War was coming to a close-experiments were made with airships which were later adopted for scouting and close air support duties. But with the relative success of the young airships was overshadowed by the triumph of next gen capital ships-with the main focus in design and doctrine being diverted there. During the seven week war four out off eleven capital ships have been sunk by wave and waves of torpedo fielding aircraft. The initial reaction then was to change the operational doctrine of capital ships and alter the layout of battleships to be more suited at combating oncoming aircraft. After the war efforts were made to improve the Mruss air core, however much of the efforts was focused on CAS and fighter squadrons-acting as a substitute for cavalry. The revised doctrine initially faced a lot o criticism as the air force still received the funds that was barely adequate Little consideration was given for the use of carriers intially due to the abundance of marine air bases available at the disposal. Experimental carriers have been constructed out of converted merchant ships until eventually a dedicated carrier was laid down instead of the 10th Maryanne Battleship. The vessel came at an eyewatering 900ft long and came with a fully armoured deck and belt similar to that of a generic battlecruiser at time (8" deck, 6" belt) as well as a few AA mounts. However the planes that came with that became a bruse on the ship's capability. A carrier without planes is as useful in a fight as an oil tanker. The ship was given one squadron of experimental transonic fighter jets (21) two squadrons of multi-purpose propeller craf (44) and a biplane platoon for lesser duties (5). Being the bare minimum expect this unintentionally revealed the discord between Air Marshals and Fleet Admirals. The first argued that the state purposefully underfunded aricraft development through the doctrines that the staff has implemented and the lack of resources devoted to jet aircraft development. At the same time the navy ofiscial openly called the project a waste of money and steel-demanding more funds to be spent on battleship and battlecruiser designs that were increasingly rejected. The latter eventually won out. However due to the dire economic situation neither got much of anything witht the air core receiving the marginally better jets following the 7 years under the repulican goverment. Following the restoration and the attack on Hauwee better jet designs were drawn up thanks to all the captured badniks from the battle. However as the first "Bright-Bolt" hypersonic jets rolled off the facory floors Aluminium and Titanium imports were shut off from the side of Soleanna for a reason unknown. Thus the few units produced were reserved for the matine arm of the aviation core...
