Hello and welcome to the description. First things first:

I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE IMAGES USED IN THIS RANKING. Though I did create everything around them because why not?

Before I move on to the part you are most likely here for (the answer to your question: 'Dafaq is a Sisfu?') let me clearify that while it was fun creating this thing, I currently have no plans on doing more of these in the foreseeable future.

Now with that out of the way, here's your answer:

'Sisfu' is a new term I created (at least as far as I'm aware). It's related to the concept of 'waifu' but it's not the equivalent of a waifu for people like me who don't do romantic relationships (regardless of whether it's because they don't want to or because they literally can't). It's a bit more complicated and has noteworthy differences:

Unlike the name implies, you don't have to view the character as/wish for the character to be your sister, though that is possible. You also can but don't have to have erotic or sexual interest in them (for example I have no such interests in the underaged and anthropomorphic characters on my list of Sisfu's).

As long as you strongly care about them above most other characters in their series/franchise and/or are sure they'd be your waifu if you wouldn't be aromantic (and as long as you have more than an erotic/sexual interest in them), they count.

That's the explanation for the term 'Sisfu' I have to offer.

Now on to the ranking.

Each tier means something, of course. Here's the list:

S = My favorite female characters in all of fiction. 10/10

A = Definitely not a 10/10 but still above average.

B = My average Sisfu's, all of them somewhere between 7/10 and 8/10.

C = Barely made the list but I still care for them more than for most in their series/franchise.

If I would have made a D-Tier it would have included all characters who are close to me considering them Sisfu's but haven't quite made it (yet).

While I've tried to rank them within the tiers as well, that didn't quite work out for all characters. There are many shared places in the list. In the following, I'm going to list all the characters names and where they're from (from left to right and S to C).
