I've seen stereoscopic images before but never understood how they work. I rediscovered them today and wanted to see if I could make a digital one. I want to make one later in a viewer, so I was just seeing how it works.
To see it, look at the centre inbetween the two images and unfocus your eyes a little by going slightly cross eyed until you can see the image in the centre clearly, and it should appear in 3D.
