My entry for day 21 of Equestria Daily's second Artist Training Grounds. The theme was "Draw a pony reaching out/helping somebody," and I felt punny on this one.

I've missed an unreasonable number of entries in the last few days, and I can't claim I was too busy. For some reason, I got pretty frustrated with my apparent lack of improvement (nice or not, my drawings take about as much erasing and obsessing as when I started in the last ATG), and stopped staying on top of it. Today though, I made a point of it and I'm glad I did. With art, I always find myself annoyed while creating, and satisfied only afterwards. For this sketch, I was more relaxed and loose then I often have been, and I think that made a world of difference for me. It's tricky balancing avoidance of stress with a highly critical inner perfectionist.

At any rate, I hope I'll have as much luck tomorrow and for the rest of the event. Maybe I'll even make up the ones I missed in some sort of marathon session.
