Last time on Pirate Madeline!!! Last time Madeline began a seemingly fake fight with Random Everetti, but then pulled out a magic watch and charged him a full speed! But what's this?! Does Random have tricks of his own?! What will Random do? What is Madeline's true goal? How is Pokey still holding on to Random, is he crazy glued back there?! All this and so much more in this week's Pirate Madeline.
Side Note: Guys, sorry working on the show has been draining, there is so much to do I never have a free moment, none-the-less, I made sure to put this out for you. Few things I want to note:
Something I've neglected before, I admit: when light is shining from something, if it there are any objects near it, they should catch the light and be lit up by (the stronger the closer they are). Example of this is the light from the Dragon Cross spell.
Second. Maddie's eye in panel 5, you probably could've left that out and it would be just as good.
As for the last panel. I think Random's body language is lacking in accusation. He doesn't seem to be giving off a confrontational air, or seem to be accusing her. In short his body doesn't match his words.
That's about it man. Sorry if I seem snippy. I have a bit of a headache right now.

This is what I was thinking: I thought it would be like using a flashlight during the day, like there is so much light bouncing around, would it really be that much brighter then it is now? If you think so let me know. I will change it, I think it will look cool... I dunno if it will be accurate.
I was afraid if I didn't make the eye in panel 5 people would say I was not doing enough expressions, and I did way more this time. You are right in the original she didn't have it, but I felt it didn't seem like Madeline wouldn't freak out a bit. She's a hothead.
If it were me, I wouldn't want to get that aggressive with her, since she is already angry to the point of punching him, he just turned off the spell and he's talking to her, trying to talk her down. I do agree it could be better there.

Well. No matter what, even in sunlight, a strong light source will light something up. Something to keep in mind, and it would add a nice dramatic effect.
I see about panel five. All right.
The reason I say about his body language is because, well. As I said. His body doesn't match his words. The way he's reacting, it seems he should have an incredulous expression on his face, and his body language should be more exaggerated than it is. That's just me though. You've seen a good bit of anime and mange, and I'm sure you know what kind of pose I mean.

Have you ever wonder how it feels to have your attacks being blocked by magic or something unknown like that?
Wonder what it feels like, hitting against something soft that absorb the attack or hard as a wall?

When I was writing this part, then drawing it, the thought did occur to me, like it can't feel good at all, but then, a society that has magic, also has magic healing, magic cleaning, so I am sure they don't feel bad the way we would feel bad for long. lol However also saying this, in the Madeline universe people get blown up, and then they are just fine in the next panel so it's all about the adventure and having a good time then something super dramatic, but it will have tense moments

You got it right, I want people to have fun when they read this. Marvel and DC comics (The actual comics of 2013) they are just...mean, and gory, and horrible, I mean the cartoons and movies are so different then what they really do. I want to be opposite of that. A fun fantasy.

Never really liked Marvel and DC comics. Not a big fan of extremely detailed art and not going to go all crazy on those comics which may ended up being valuable.
The good ol' manga is what I enjoy and yours.

Usually I don't bother reading comics by artists on dA, I guess I enjoy some of the "cuteness" expressions you have in your work. Of course Madeline is the pretty one and those muscle wolf minions are adorable.

Thanks, I do try to make things cute and funny, I feel like everything is sliding into "DEADLY SERIOUS" land, video games, movies, television, I think of the irony that while it was a deep drama, Breaking Bad was colorful and comedic and that was it's edge. I hope I make people feel happy when they look at my work.

I did started with comics myself but they always ended up being abandoned for a long time and didn't have the motivation to come back continuing them.
