Description
When the 12 ancient heroes slew the primordial dragons and drank their blood, they gained immense power and became known as vampires.
With this power came the hunger of the dragons, and the 12 soon turned on one another.
They found that the blood of the dragons, even disseminated throughout the offspring of the 12, could not be diminished, and should one of the vampire lords drain the life force from every last one of their rivals, they would become a god.
Millennia have passed, and armours designed to protect one vampire from another have increased in size and complexity.
The power of the dragons in each descendant of the 12 manifests as a powerful aura, capable of allowing a vampire to move monumental instruments of war that tower above the battlefield.
The pilots of these great machines do battle not to kill outright- but to first disable their rival's war machine and pierce into the intimate confines of the cockpit where they must fight hand-to-hand in order to drain their still-living essence.
In a battle between two vampire princes and their war machines, the tide of battle can be turned not by a two-hundred foot lance, but by a hand sized blade cleverly hidden in the pilot's vest.
