I'd be insecure about myself too so Al wouldn't be alone...like my back cause I have scars and I don't like people seeing so when swiming I have to wear a tankini instead of a bikini
and it doesn't help when people at school call me things..like fat then some other people said I was anorexic...and I've had friends that would (for some odd reason idk why..) sit on me then say I'm like really bone-y...D: the Prussia in my group said I was comfy XDD;
so...yeah..people don't make since and insecurities are understandable Al!! But I'm sure a compliment (should) make you feel better! it does for me..
Well I wouldn't know since I'm stuck in the middle of America for my whole life so far..farthest I've traveled (also the place I went to the most and first XD) was Florida..been there well over 5 times..mainly to see relatives..another time for Disney World x3

I never really understood America stereotypes my self, I mean we are such a huge country, the south is totally different from the north, the east coast from the west, each state alone is completely different from the next and we have so many different cultures.
