I wish I could go back to the day we met

I thought I was finally happy, and yet

though things seemed fine on the surface

it seemed that the deeper you go it would only get worse

I'd send you a message, only to be ignored

just a toy for you to play with when you got bored

I helped you through the worst of situations

but would you do the same for me? at this point i'd say probably not

since ignoring me is what you do best, running away from your problems

so you don't have to face them, using every excuse in the book for your actions

as if i'd keep taking them. We talked about this before, many times it would seem

that i'll never get through to you, though one can dream.

"you're too much" they would say, and i'd say "i'm trying, please believe me!"

But what will it matter? when eventually you'll leave me
