"Tell me, why did we have to move from Johto again?" I complained to my parents as we were on our way to the Hoenn region.
"Please be quiet, (y/n). You're disturbing the other passengers. Besides, didn't you want to challenge the Battle Frontier?" My mom asked.
"She's just crying because she has no friends now. Like she had any in the first place." My little brother teased.
"Look who's talking, Mr. Stay-in-my-room-all-day!" I snapped back!
"At least I talk to people."
"You mean people who live in Kalos and Sinnoh? Like you can visit them!"
"All your friend had to come and visit you because you're training your Pokémon!"
"Be quiet!" My dad yelled. Both of us stopped automatically. And then my brother started poking me. This was gonna be a long boat ride.

-4 hours later-

"FINALLY! It's about we got off that boat!" I practically that yelled at the top of my lungs.
"Just because we're off the boat doesn't mean you can be loud, (y/n)." My dad said.
"Sorry. Well, I guess I'll be off then! Bye guys!" I gave all my family hugs and then released my Eevee, Fennekin, and Dratini from their Pokeballs as I ran off to Petalburg Forest because the boat dropped us off at Route 104. *I can't believe it! I'm actually going to challenge the Battle Frontier! Get ready Frontier Brains! Here comes (y/n)!* I thought to myself.

-10 minutes later-

"...It might help if I knew how to get there... Or at least to Slateport..." I said to my Eevee. She sighed and nodded. We were now in the middle of the Petalburg Forest.
"Yep. We're lost... Wait I think I see someone up ahead!" I said. I almost got to them when...

Emerald's P.O.V.

"...Do you hear that, Sceptile?" I asked my Sceptile. He nodded in response and we turned around. There was a sound coming from behind us. I thought it might be a rampant Pokemon and got my E-Shooter ready when...
"Oof!" A girl fell out of the forest, an Eevee coming to her side.
*...She's kinda pretty." I thought to myself. *...Wait, what am I saying!? I don't even know her!... She still needs help though, so I'll help her.*
"Uh... Are you OK?" I asked her.
"Huh?"
She look up at me and just.... starred for awhile. I guess she was trying to figure me out.
"Oh... Uh... Yeah! I'm fine!" She finally responded.
"Um... Here. Let me help you up."
"O-ok. Thanks."
I pulled her up using my extendible arm.
*Wow, she's even prettier up close... Dang it! Stop doing that!* I told myself.
"Um... Thank you for helping me." She said.
"M-my name's (y/n)! What's yours?" She asked.
"Oh... Uh... My name's Emerald! Nice to meet you, (y/n)!"
