   I saw you look at her today, like you used to look at me, I didnt   know what to say..so i decided to leave it be

I didnt miss the smile you sent her, later in the night..I hoped that maybe it couldnt have been her, but somthing tells me I was right

   And yesterday I heard you talking about her, your eyes lit with delight, but it had been a rough day, and I wasnt up to a fight

   There was that hug you gave her, the day her father died, but there was more than friendship in it, as you held her while she cried

   Then there was the note you passed her, as we met her on the street..but words seemed to fail me, or I was to weak to speak

   I try to beleive you love me, but God how hard it is, to know you love someone else, to feel the reluctance in each kiss

   I try and hope you'll want me again, even though I know you never will..I cannot change who you love, alter what you feel..

   I pray for the day you'll gladly hold me in your arms again..
The day that I'll know i'm still yours, the day you'll willingly take my hands...
