Description
As her eyes began to wake, the earth began to quake. The pony was confused of her surroundings, but as she gazed behind her, she saw a lamp glowing with the sound of heavy chuffing. “EXPRESS COMING THREW!” Echoed the walls. The pony knew what she had to do, she jump out of the way in fear and coward behind a bush until the large steam engine raddled passed her.

The pony, named Fluttershy, was quite scared. She soon regained confidence and stepped out from her hiding place. “W-where am I?” The bright yellow mare questioned, “are these railroad tracks?” She asked herself. Fluttershy decided to follow the tracks back to where they began. As she did, she noticed nothing seemed as bright as before. “What’s with all the dull colors?” She questioned, “I remember Equestria being much brighter than this, but I kinda like it…”

As Fluttershy reached the end of the line, there was a junction ahead. “Oh my, w-where should I go?” Fluttershy made her choice, and continued on.

As Fluttershy viewed the beautiful landscape, she’d not notice her hoves drifting onto the track. The mare then spotted a birds nest. Fluttershy remembered her ability to talk to animals. “Um hello little birdies” Fluttershy called. The birds turned their heads and chirped. “Oh that is a lovely song, but I’m lost, can I please have directions?” Asked Fluttershy. Just then, a slick, green, tender engine was rushing down the line, he had conference on his face and smoke from his funnel. The engines was in a rush, but he peered his eyes at the small pony. “GET OUT OF THE WAY!” The engine shouted as his fireman slammed the breaks! Fluttershy was petrified, she quickly turned to the tree that the birds resigned. Fluttershy dashed into the tree, as the green engine came to a safe stop.

As steam weashed from his chassis, the engine looked up into the tree. “Hey! Are you ok?” He asked. Fluttershy shivered and shock. “It’s ok, I’m not gonna hurt you” the engine reassured. Fluttershy slowly climbed back down, she viewed the engine in ah. “H-h-hello?” The meek pony asked. “Hi, are you ok?” The engine replied, “I’m sorry for scaring you, my name is Henry, I do hope I didn’t cause you no trouble, whatever you are?” Fluttershy mumbled, “you’re a talking train?” “Of course, Who doesn’t?” Henry puffed. Fluttershy was most confused, but wanted to know more. “M-my name is Fluttershy…” “well nice to meet you, Fluttershy” Henry smiled, “that is a odd name, it fits an odd fella like you” he chuckled. Fluttershy smiled, “well I’ve never seen a talking train in Equestria” Henry looked puzzled, “what is Equestria?” “A-are we not in Equestria?” Fluttershy stammered. “No, this is the island of Sodar!” Henry boomed. “We’ll that explains the differences…” said Fluttershy softly, “but how did I get here?” Henry thought for a moment, but couldn’t think of a valid answer. “We’ll hey, if you need somewhere to stay, I can help you” puffed Henry. Fluttershy beamed, “oh, t-thank you, Henry”

Soon Henry was ready to set off, the driver and fireman used coats to hide Fluttershy, so no one would freak out at the sight of a talking, techno colored pegasus.

Henry puffed into an old shed, that had not been used in ages. “You can sleep here tonight, my little pony.” Henry smiled. “Oh thank you, Henry” Fluttershy thanked, “you are a very kind engine.”

Henry and Fluttershy talked for a while, until they fell silently to sleep…
