Both started out detached and emotionally distant, but over time would learn to open up and care for others thus gaining a semblance of their once lost innocence after only knowing a life of violence for all their life

Joined a band of heroes who dedicated their lives into fighting against evil and corruption (The X-Men and Night Raid)

Both have a younger sister who possess similar skills and abilities as them whom they deeply care for despite their differences (Gabrielle Kinney for Laura and Kurome for Akame)

Wield a special blade that can practically cut down and kill almost anything that stood in their way (Laura's indestructible Adamantium Claws and Akame's poisonous Murasame Blade)

Both are known for their swiftly speed and graceful agility in combat
