Finished this a while ago now, but forgot it existed
This is supposed to be Rangavar and Ronden as children (Psst...notice how Rangavar isn't a Darkal yet). He's always had his scar, though, so you know it's him. It's one of those things I'll never explain in the books, but he just sort of showed up at the orphanage with it~
In other breaking news, I've decided to change "Steelies" to "Faerians", because it goes with the Eemian/Gemian -sound theme. Although I can't figure out what to change "Darkals" to "Darkians" wouldn't exactly have a nice ring to it, if you know what I mean.
Also, I'm not sure that "Faerians" will be the final spelling of the word. But I don't think I want it to be "Ferrians" because it looks too close to its root word, "Ferrum". (Anything that stemmed from "Vanadium", steel, didn't make a cool enough word, but iron is a pretty close second). If I were to keep with the Latin theme, I could technically make Darkals into something like "Noxians" or "Umbrians", but I don't like how close those are to the root word so idk. "Darkal" itself is a Matonian word that just means dark crystal, so I could just treat it as a joke, and openly acknowledge within the story that there was no deep meaning behind the naming process
