this is part 1 of my 4 part final project for my english class

the project was to pick one of the books we had read that year & turn it into an art project of some type while showing symbolism & themes & all that lovely crap ^.^
i must say it came out quite nicely
*i feel im obliged to credit all my poses to my bff kelly lol
i came up w. the concept & background & stuff but the poses were all her! plus she was the actual picture-taker

background: shows materialism that overwhelms the characters in the book (clothes, jewelry, money, drinking, cigarettes, cars, etc)
colors: shows distortion of society
outfit: shows the blank slate theory in that the dress is white & pure & represents innocence
poses: symbolizes how society overwhelms you & you can try to ignore it or hide from it but eventually you are either over-taken by it (like gatsby) or you must walk away (like nick)(last pic)
