Liyonne sighed as she gazed out of the window of her home. The family had decided to buckle down and wait out the miasma season in Kyendi and while the place was fine and all, Liyonne wished that they had picked somewhere more exciting. Someplace fun and magical. Like Strynhalde.

The young kittom glanced at the myriad of storybooks that lay scattered about her playroom until they found the book that she was looking for. The Snow Fairy’s Ball. In it were pictures upon pictures of beautiful snowy landscapes. Best of all, were the gowns that the fairies wore to the ball. All of them looked so fluffy and comfy and warm. What better way to dress when one is surrounded by mounds upon mounds of soft white snow? And the snowmen butlers that the Snow King had looking after his castle! Their icy expression complemented by the coal black eyes!

Liyonne beamed as an idea hit her and after much rummaging through various drawers, the kittom finally found what she was looking for! A piece of pen and paper! Perfect!

It was then that her father, Ying, walked in on his daughter. “What are you up to Liyonne?” the maroon elnin asked bemusedly as he watched his daughter industriously sketching away. “I am drawing winter clothes Papa!” giggled Liyonne. Holding up her designs (in case Papa would like a closer look), Liyonne then declared “Let’s go to Strynhalde once the miasma is over! I would like to play in the snow and wear fluffy clothes!”

“I am sure that could be arranged,” smiled Ying. “Now come along for your tea. There’s a batch of lovely almond shortbread cookies waiting,”

“Yummy!” exclaimed Liyonne as she dashed past her father in excitement;- the desire to visit Strynhalde momentarily overshadowed by the promise of cookies and honeyed tea.
