Oh boy I have been tossing around ideas for this guy for a long while. He plays a big part in Swan's past and is the reason the Madness games exist lore-wise. He's got a lot going on but I won't write that here. He's got a rocky past with Swan for sure and is a big shot in what is basically the central seat of government for mockeries. Not a good dude but he's fun.

Mockeries are magic parasites, feeding through physical touch and through eating still living flesh. They can shapeshift into different forms, turning their body into a shadowy substance with all vital and sensory organs still intact and using mind manipulation to be perceived as something else. They use this to their advantage to get close to their target over time and drain them, feeding on sapient beings and draining both magic ability and life force. They have a home world but are notorious reality and timeline hopping predators that are extremely hard to kill due to regenerative properties that allow them to come back after death from a tiny piece even as small as a tooth. They have two very distinct populations with separate cultures, feeding styles, and preferred prey.
