Description
"Where are we going today mama?" Squeaked Mehit, following on the heels of a large quad.
"I have a special surprise for you my dear." said the quad in a melodic voice.
Mehit followed the quad away from the cottage they both lived in and out into the dark forest. It was nearly dawn and the morning sun just barely peeked through the trees. The quad carried with her a basket with a few rags in the bottom of the basket. Mehit was content and still sleepy as she walked mindlessly behind the quad. The pair stopped after a few minutes of walking at a dead tree not too far from the cottage and the quad gently began to pick out boo shrooms from it.
"Will you help me dear? I need a whole basket of these for dinner tonight" said the quad.
Mehit didn't put up a fight and went to work picking the surrounding area of shrooms.
The quad watched her work and pulled one rag out of the basket and held it up in front of her face, then another color, then another. She noticed after a moment that Mehit was struggling with one higher up and went to retrieve the shroom and the wyngling.
"Good job Mehit. I think you deserve a little something nice for all that work." said the quad. She turned and counted out the boo shrooms on her basket, eventually pulling out a green one as well as a green rag. She gently placed the shroom in Mehit's paws and tied the rag around her neck and tucked it behind her tiny wings.
"There my dear. You look so pretty now. Go ahead and enjoy a little snack before we head home." said the quad.
Mehit eyed the booshroom cautiously before going to take a bite. The noise it made made her jump the first time but the taste was perfect! Eagerly, she grabbed a second one and bit down as hard as she could and laughed at the sound.
"Now don't eat too many my dear. We still have to save some for dinner!" laughed the quad.

I wanted to do a little more with this both in writing and in art but I just haven't been able to make it work. I'm still not happy with how this turned out tbh.
This is only the second time I've drawn Mehit and she's over a month old too orz
