Yep, haven't drawn butts for a looong time. And this time I got a bit educational. And it gets more interesting when we're talking about big assets, of course, heh.I'm starting to go to a gym, so I'm trying to remember all muscle names and being more aware of them (some years have passed since I knew them all from school, heh), especially in shape and movement. Learning basic anatomy to draw in a realistic way is a must, and as I don't practice this too often, now I feel kinda motivated.
Note that I'm not an anatomy expert, I know this just by plain observation (and experience).

Btw: Any preference? A well shaped muscular butt: nice. But, as some ancient and wise poet said once: "I like big (fat round) butts and I can not lie".

I honestly like fat butts. There's nothing wrong with having some junk in the trunk as long as one is careful to maintain a healthy weight. Great work by the way.

Actually, Ras, you can't obtain the butt on the left by just pumping fat into it, just like you can't obtain the butt on the right without a good chunk of fat. The first girl would have much more muscle mass and much bigger bones than it's shown in the "x-ray". If you pump her current form with a lot of filling you would get something like Lela Star instead.
About the girl in the right, most big butts in fitness girls are the result of miracle genetics of body structure and a good chunk of either fat or artificial fillers. The butt will always need a relatively thick layer of fat to look plump. If you look at the butts of the top level female bodybuilders that use the maximum amount of hormones to get the maximum hypertrophy in every muscle, you will notice that big glute muscles with super low bodyfat actually look like some alien specimen rather than the butts people are used to. The lack of filling shows the striation of the muscles and the bulk of the hypertrophy occurs on the top portion of the hips.

You're right, I was suspecting I wasn't being very accurate. Bones do a lot for the shape, so I guess the one on the left one should very wide hips rather than just fat. Thanks for the interesting facts, eucalipto.
