not sure about the size, but short step is due to the script cicle. It's controled with keyboard and at the first step it starts at half of the scrip :S

Thank you! You mean the one from District 9 ? I find it impressive, mainly because it look more actual than any other I have seen, besides the visual effects.
So is hard to me to avoid being (a lot) influenced
