The feeling of sadness fills the air,
and as you can see she's not quite all there,
she tries to act as if she doesn't care,
but way deep down she feels despair.

Crystal had some mental health issues that made things hard and that never really left her life.
There were several songs she liked to sing to try and feel better, but they were sad and dark songs and so no one could really understand how they would make her feel better.
She also did a weird thing where she would slowly sway back and forth and just repeat the phrase, "cry-stals' still crying..."

Her cheek emblems were an upside-down heart with a line through it. It scared her and she felt it was a profecy and it wound give her bad luck.
Her name Crystal comes from the transparent quartz gemstone, usually colorless, that can be cut to reflect brilliant light, whose name comes from Ancient Greek κρύσταλλος krystallos "ice". The Greek variant of the name is Crystallia or Krystallia (Κρυσταλλία).
