And so, a duel between magic users began. Unlike Twilight, it seemed like Trixie's magic was centered around her wand and not from Trixie herself. She would launch bolts of magic, only for Twilight to either swat them away or dodge. While not as graceful in her dodging, Twilight was more than a match for Trixie.

In fact... it was rather one sided.

In favor of Twilight.

In her frustration, Trixie sent an overcharged bolt at Twilight. Seeing this, the Alicorn Princess actually caught the bolt and held it between them.

"Trixie, stop this. You're playing with powers you don't understand," Twilight said.
"How else do you expect me to learn magic?" Trixie shot back "After everything that's happened at school, you expect any of us to just pretend it doesn't exist?"
"No. I expect everyone to understand that there are things your world isn't ready for."
"And yet it exists!"
"And we, as students at Canterlot High, have a responsibility to contain it."
"You're not even a real student!"
"Maybe..."

With a quick gesture, Trixie's captured magic bolt imploded within Twilight's magic grasp. Trixie's eyes went wide in shock.

"But I would still fight to protect them," Twilight declared. "Because they are my friends, and it's the right thing to do."

Trixie just fell to her knees and looked at the space between them. After a moment Twilight approached her and put a hand on her shoulder.
"I don't want you to suffer Trixie," Twilight said. "Your counterpart in my world tried to claim power she wasn't ready for, and it almost destroyed her. I don't want that to happen to you."

She pulled her hand away and turned to leave.
"You can have friends Trixie. All you have to do is ask."
