Description
I dream in black and white..[note: while I'm waiting for my camera to return, I've updated some of my older photos. I didnt much like the heavy grunge that I put on the first version of this photo. And I'm really into b/w photos these days. I've used a monochromatic channelmixer to convert to b/w, and burn/dodge tool to enhance contrasts. I hope you like it. I'll leave the old one in my gallery for a while incase you want to compare]

Hi and thanks for your comment. I just used the burn/dodge standard photoshop tool. I think the tricky part is just using the right brush size, and selecting which tones you want to work on. I usually dodge highlights and burn shadows, midtones i rarely touch, but it could be different with a different camera. Some cameras captures contrasts better than others..

haunting...
i love the airplane streak in the sky coupled with the title and the contemplative person....it's like the streak is the sould of a lost one immortalized in the heavens...gorgeous.

woooow excellent! i love the compositon! the lone figure in such a desolate place gives such a lovely contrast. it also gives me the idea that if it were in color that the surroundings would be burning with orange light. (or maybe i'm just obsessed with orange )
fantastic work!

yep, great work with contrasts
it looks like after some red/dark filter..
it makes a heavy mood of the night however the shadow is from the sun.
love it..

I really liked the colored version of this, but I think this may bring across what you were trying to say even more because of the darkness around the subject, which looks a lot like loss to me.

I'll have to look for the origional, but I really like this version. Very simple, but with a lot of depth... strong for what it show, as well as what it doesn't. Very nice work!
