Description
the inevitable sea.A stream of redish freshwater emptying into the ocean. I dont know the english word for the substance which dies the water red. In danish its called ogger (an iron rich component), drained from the meadow behind the dunes. I'm abit unhappy with the extreme blur in the sky (it was quite windy + 30 sec exposure), but I'm nuts about the light.. Let me hear some thoughts please

I think the blurryness adds obvious motion to it. I like it. It makes it look more real, only because one might be set off by the colors. It's an awesome picture. I love it!

i agree, i love the lighting and the blurred sky isnt too bad either, like what silentechodesigns said, it makes for a very smooth flowing shot which is easy on the eyes

I like the blur in the sky.... it goes along with the blur in the sea I think. The colour and light are really fantastic. It makes me feel like I'm in a dream and my eyes are only partially open and I can see this magical land that is just out of reach.

Well, the blur of the sky fits with the blur of the sea. Finally it looks like a watercolor painting, so not bad at all
You have such an incredible chance to have such a beautiful light !!

Beautiful capture.
In situations like this where I can't get the clouds as crisp as I like, I try to drag out the exposure as long as possible so to make the clouds a more abstracted shape.

I love the redness of it all. And the little bit of light shinning through at the end is...almost...inspiring.

I like long exposures and water, gives such amazing effects. I love the colors and the composition, good use of the rule of third (onconsciously or consciously, doesn't matter). Keep going!

Thats a really really nice shot! The light is awesome and I dont think the blurred clouds take anything away from it at all!

You're very right about the light, it's wonderful. I don't mind the blur much, it adds to the flowing sensation in the picture, which is quite appropriate for a photograph of a river. Where is it?
Oh, and the red colour in rivers is due to iron oxide, so that's presumably what ogger means.
Du er en utrolig fotograf. (min dansk er ikke saa god, so forgive me if that's wrong)

Love the flow of the water, however, i agree with you, i would like the clouds to be clearly defined to give the image some stability, very well done though, an astouding image by any standards!

the blur of the sky add to the surreal feel of the pic. i think that the photo would have a completly different meaning to it if the sky was in focus.
love the pic
