There's not a lot of hand drawn pones around so I felt like animating a little thing for practice! Best pone in an infinite burger loop because that scene was weird and neat, haha. Ah we have a small animation room at school with a peg bar and one of those overhead cameras! I used that to get them all up digitally.

Yeah, but when changing frames it would be really hard to get the paper to line up perfectly with the last frame

Hmmmm.......I'm not exactly a professional because I only do claymation from time to time (I haven't uploaded any) but maybe they did just that and used a frame? Place each of the same sized piece of paper in the frame! (Not sure where that came from but maybe they did?

I watched MLP, and its an ok cartoon. It has pretty good story writers, but the massive adult following is strange. I try to be open minded, and I think this is a very feminist show. It is more feminist than Power Puff Girls by far.

If your definition of feminist matches the official one, aka "Woman are superior to man and should therefor recieve more praise, attention and juridical benefits over man" than you're completely wrong, mlp does not promote feminism in any way. What it does promote however is friendship, love, integrity, self-confidence and respect.

Whats up with this MLP fad? The animation is very simple, that is why they make it in Flash. I honestly don't think a simple cartoon characters like this are worth the time of doing full-frame animation.
I spent 4 years studying 2d Animation, and I personally hate flash; but these characters were designed to be made in Flash. The character outlines uses vector shapes, not the organic pencil (hand drawn) look.

The design of the ponies being cartoony and simple actually makes them easy to push and great fun to animate in whatever style.

It's the internet fenomenon called Bronies. The animation is way better than expected from solely hand-drawn frames. Only 3 year olds wouldn't 'see' mlp characters are not drawn with pencils but with vector grahpics... Don't be silly x)
