An alternate universe of Fallout where the bombs caused mythical mutations!
I am hella proud of this. This is an AU I've been talking about with mx-cindercandy (on tumblr) a lot!

Down below is further elaboration on the rules of the universe and its world

In this universe, everything is preeetty much the same, with some key changes. The bombs fall and NEARLY wipe out humans to complete extinction. A mutation caused by the radiation was passed down by the initial survivors, and soon, almost all humans were evolved into mythical beasts of some kind. (Centaurs, satyrs, nagas, harpies, etc.) Humans still exist in this universe, but are pretty rare. Not unheard of, but not common. Most humans are just vault dwellers (Including the Sole Survivor of course).The Institute, founded by the children of the original survivors, aimed to bring back humans as a species. Also mutated, they worked tirelessly to create the perfect synthetic human to repopulate the earth (Now inhabited by walking and talking, dragons, werewolves, sphinxes, etc.). Of course, they kidnap baby Shaun to accomplish this. As the decades pass however, the Institute’s ideals change. After successfully creating Gen 3 Synths, they also just started creating synthetic creatures like the ones already in the commonwealth. So now there’s Human synths, and Mythical synths.

Now! some clarifications:

Animals like radscorpions, deathclaws, brahmin, mole rats, etc. ALL still exist, but are not civilized. They are still animals in this world.
The commonfolk of the commonwealth are these “mythical creatures,” but they still act perfectly human. They’re STILL raiders, settlers, gunners, guards, citizens, etc. But they just all look like creatures from our myths. Again: humans still exist, but they’re few and far between.
The Institute do NOT (other than the gorillas and watcher birds) create synth animals. When I say they “started creating synthetic creatures like the ones already in the commonwealth” I mean they created the sentient ones that currently inhabit earth.
All of the factions are pretty much the same in this AU:The BoS hates all synths, the Railroad wants to liberate the synths, and the Minutemen want to bring peace, harmony, and collaboration to the Commonwealth.The BoS has specialized jobs and unique power armor for differing species.Deacon, as a shapeshifter, is one of the Railroad’s most useful assets! For obvious reasons of course. As a spy, he can easily shift into a radroach and eavesdrop with little to no issue. Or he can shift into a certain person and pretend to be them! He can ONLY shift into a human/creature that exists, and he can’t shift into inanimate objects. He’s almost always in his human form. People rarely, if ever, see him in his natural-born form.All supermutants are mutated minotaurs (Idea by Cinder)Ghouls are dragons, and yes there are feral and glowing variations. (Idea by Cinder) Dragons are bipedal, human sized, and can fly, but ferals cannot fly.

I’m still figuring out what I want the other companions to be! Though I doubt I’ll get to drawing all of them.
