I happen to be in a good mood, so I'm letting myself upload this one. ^ ^; Even though it's sad, I accomplished what I meant to, so I'm happy with it. Basically the boy wanted to die and the unicorn helped him out of love, but the poor thing, being the purest of all creatures and not meant for this, has sort of lost its innocence and has a broken heart. I wanted it to look like an embrace of sorts, more than anything. Comments?"The last thing I ask of you, my friend . . ."
(note: I do not condone suicide irl! This is art, and a story. Seriously, who would want to die if it would make a unicorn sad? :3 Thank you to everyone for all your kind and heartfelt comments, I'm glad to know if I affect people's emotions :') )

As sad as the illustration is, it is beautiful (and, ultimately, hopeful). If the unicorn's young friend had an unbearably physically painful malady that even he or she couldn't magically cure using the horn, it would be an act of kindness. (I don't advocate suicide either, except in such cases; Having been in such great pain that I could have bitten a steel pipe in half [due to a deep-body infection that required an extremely powerful antibiotic], I welcomed death. Fortunately, modern medicine was able to beat it back *that* time [the doctors would only say, "We will try"], but I've been warned that it may return, and that next time I may not be so lucky.)Β Β

Just looking at the drawing alone was enough for it to pull at my heart strings and get me thinking up my own scenarios for what happened; and then I read your comments and that made it even sadder. Horses are hard to get expressions in, but you nailed this flawlessly. Truly stunning work. ^o^
