Description
OK, last but not least, here's my personal favorite #2 (out of two).___
I had to push the levels too much and y'all know what that means: Ugly nooooize and oversaturation!! A shorter exposure time would be appropriate, 'cause things a moving really fast at this scale (about 3 x 5 cm resp. 1.2 x 2 inches)
SO, this here's the third out of five (?) images of my new 'MICROSMOKE SERIES' I won't post all this time, because I'm still improving techniques.. so all you macro lovers, better be prepared, mwahahahaaaa!!
It was a pretty hard task to get these images (nope, just showing off a little), since my equipment is REEEEALLY ... low-tech. But hey: Necessity is the mother of invention, isn't it? Enough said - enjoy!

Wow, a very graceful and interesting image. Your patience in getting the shot really paid off in the end result.

Amazing photo. The two smoke blobs seem to meet up in the corner--a fluid motion which conveys a sense of grace and longing. The blobs (hope you don't mind my calling it that) almost have human emotion in this photo. I love it.

Thank you!
Keep on trying. If you do it with real smoke you'll need A LOT of light. I mean like 1000-2000W

Ok, this one looks almost too real, it looks like its living, or trying to form something living. Amazing capture, so simple, but quite extra-ordinary. wicked stuff!!

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.

Very cool abstract image. I actually stared at it awhile in wonder before I read the description. The noise is a drag and the overall sharpness could be improved but that doesn't mean it's an interesting piece of art. Nice work

Very nice. I was wondering the same as the person above - what kind of smoke is it? A cigarette? And I'd be really interested to know what the set-up for a shot like this is.

I'm also curious about the setup.
I really enjoy this photo because it makes me think of the glass swirls in marbles. Its very beautiful and organic.
