Description
Hehe.Spring cleaning hit my hard drive yesterday. I rediscovered this painting I did a while back. This was a poster for health services, has to do with accepting help when you need it most. It came out pretty good (meaning it was done in time for them to print - very difficult for me. Deadlines whisk by at a neck breaking speed.) When I got the assignment, I was told the bottom of the poster would say, 'confused?'.. HarHar.. I sure would be if I'm drowning and fish came to save me. Donβt question why the life preserver isn't at the top of the ocean, or why the guy stayed with his boat to the end. It is a lot cheerier than most paintings of being depressed. ^_^. Executive decision makers above me changed the 'confused' tagline to 'get support' after I submitted the arts, maybe because of the submitted arts. They were happy, I like the painting. Alls goods.
As always.. acrylic. This one is on watercolor paper.

Good Luck! Acrylics can be a huge paint in the butt. Takes awhile to get used mixing them. But, you can't beat the drying time. So... What brand of acrylics you working with? ^_^

oooo... if your acrylics are drying to fast.. I got two good ideas for you, acrylic retarder (which is a clear liquid or gel that increases the working time, good for wet in wet techniques, and increases the workability of glazes) or to simply put a wet paper towel on your palette and put your paint on the wet paper towel. The water in the paper towel will keep everything moist for hours. And you can keep wetting the paper towel if it appears to be drying out. I do the later, retarder can change the texture of acrylic paints, make them more watery or more gummy. Plus you gotta find a store that carries retarder. ^_^. Good luck!<3 I've never heard of politec, I've got a lot of golden, winsor newton, and liquidex. I thought I knew most brands...
