Now, I'm one of those people who never gave a crap about Fatal Fury, but rejecting a fanservice-y character for being a fanservice-y character while the roster includes Bayonetta or Zero Suit Samus is silly.
It'd be like if I made a mascot fighter, and rejected Jacket from Hotline Miami because Hotline Miami is too dark, but having Brad from LISA: The Painful or AM from I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream.

Smash Bros. is not an intense fighting game, so Melee and Brawl being Rated T for Teen were clearly a mistake, even Sakurai knowing the series is family friendly would know this.
