If I'm not mistaken, the creature is sort of a mix between anthropomorphic wolf and deer ) Basically, it's wolf with deer antlers and hooves

That rather canine-looking Deer beast kind of reminds me of the Deer God from Princess Mononoke. And given its towering scale, and the fact that it's near a huge majestic dragon, I can't help but find it also somewhat... divine, for lack of a better word.
