God Ayato's so stupid. We planned to infiltrate Cochela, and he went overboard for what? He's such a dumbass. Aren't I lucky having to patch him up since Noro told me to do it.
I put some rubbing alcohol on Ayato's skin and he jumped.
"Ow you dumb bitch that hurt!"
"Well if you didn't want to deal with this you should have never went overboard!"
"I didn't go overboard!"
"Last time I checked, when I saved your dumbass you fell to the ground."
Ayato turns his head away from me, angrily.
I guess he's mad because I am right.
"Alright be mad all you want with me. I didn't cause this."
I try to pat one of his wounds with the cotton ball, but he grabs my hand.
"I'm going out." he says throwing my hand down and getting up
"I don't know where you think that you are going. Last time I checked, you are in no condition to go anywhere."
"Is that babbler out your mouth you call words are supposed to stop me?"
He turns around and heads for the door.
He's such a damn fool don't he realized that he is hurting himself.
My kagune then hits the door.
"No but that was."
He faces me.
"You know I'm getting tired of you one eyed ghouls thinking that you are stronger than us regular ghoul." he says with his eyes going full ghoul
"Then do something about it!"
We then begin to fight.
I'm obviously winning due to Ayato being bruised.
I try to do a spin kick on him, but he catches my foot. Also, I'm not good with balancing on one foot even with someone hold it, so I tumbled back bringing Ayato with me.
Ayato was filled with so much anger in his eyes.
"I fucking hate you." he says in a low but audible voice
He's gripping on my arms very hard.
I'm so tired of this stupid fighting.
"You know what Ayato do what you want. Don't say I didn't warn you." I say with my eyes close
I then feel something wet on my face. I open my eyes to see Ayato crying.
"Ayato why are you crying?"
"Why would you care? Aren't you the one who said you wouldn't care if I died?"

~Flashback~
It was when Naki had found out the Yamori died.
He was crying so much I couldn't take it anymore.
"Naki shut up. It's not the end of the world."
"You shut you brat! How dare you say such a thing? What if Ayato died?"
"I wouldn't care."
"What!! You are so mean! Aren't you like childhood friends?"
"I mean I knew the idiot for a while, but I wouldn't call him my friend."
~Back to time~
I can't believe he's crying. This is the first. Now I actually feel bad.
"Ayato did that hurt your feelings or something?" I ask
He didn't respond.
I try to wipe his tears, but he held my hand. Ayato gets up and leaves.
I pick myself off the ground.
I guess there's no stopping him.
A hour past.
Ayato is still not back. He probably ended up getting hurt or worse. I can't believe he was crying. This is the first time I ever seen him do that. Now I feel stupid for what I said.
"Why the long face (Y/N)?" Eto asks
"Oh no reason."
"I haven't seen Ayato around. Is that why you are upset?"
"No it's something else." I say lying through my teeth
I hear the door open.

I turn around to see Ayato.
"I need to talk to you."

This can't be good.
I stood up, anyways, and follow him to another room.
Ayato close the door behind me.
"Look Ayato I'm sorry for what I said. I just thought we had the same mindset,you know."

I don't know what he is going to say now. I'm kinda afraid now.
"You're pretty strong."
"Did you just give me a compliment?"
"It's called a 'thank you' bitch. Be more appreciative."
I should have knew he wasn't going to be nice to me.
"Now that you are saying that, I'm not. Can't you go one day without calling me a bitch? It's insulting!"
"Well when you stop acting like one, maybe I will!"
"You're full of shit Ayato! And did you really had to pull me to the side to say that!? I get it big man Ayato didn't want everyone to see him at a weak point, huh?"
"Shut the hell up and get out of my sight!"

Ayato's P.O.V
I let out a sigh. I can't believe I just yelled at her. I'm such an idiot. I know today wasn't the day to tell her, but I didn't have to result to that. I guess just arguing with her just got into a habit of mine. I will tell her one day.

A few days past. It's time for this big fight. I am taking every single human down no matter what.
I was waiting on top of a building with members of Aogiri. It seems like there is a lot of them, but I can handle it. I just have to wait for the signal.
The signal lets off. I slip on my mask and dove into the crowd of the CCG.
"Crap it's (Nickname)! Everyone fire!" says one of the men
They begin to shot at me. It's really no point in doing that because I have a bullet proof vest on, and I am blocking most bullets with my Kagune.
I then walk closer the them and kill most of them. The rest had fleed.
"Too easy."
I look back to see Ayato killing off CCG members. Then, out of nowhere, a member comes from the sky wielding a weapon.
No I can't let this happen to Ayato.
I then kill the member.
"You know I could've killed the person myself. I don't need your help (Y/N)."
I can't believe this fool. I just saved him and then he wants to save everything, but thank you.
"Ayato I could've let you for dead!"
"Yeah yeah."
I am getting really mad at him now.
"I can't stand you! You can at least be-"
Ayato's eyes widen and starts to water.
The pain. It hurts so much.
I begin to cough up blood. I look down to see a weapon pierced through my stomach.
I can't believe I'm going out like this. All because I couldn't pay attention.

No. This can't be happening. Please tell me this is some sort of nightmare.
The CCG member takes his weapon out of (Y/N) and throws her on the ground.
How dare he?
The tears finally comes down my face.
"Hi my name is (L/N)(Y/N), but you can call me (Y/N)." her little kid voice echoed in my head

I stood up.

I was about to grab her hand, but Touka didn't let me.
"Goodbye (Y/N)"
Touka grabbed my hand and led me back to the house.
"Touka why didn't you introduce yourself to (Y/N)?" I asked confused
"Do you have any idea what she is?"
"A human?"
"No she's a one eyed ghoul."
"I don't get it."
"Her mother is a ghoul and her father is a human. You have no idea on which side she is on."
"How about we ask her?"
"No! Stay away from her Ayato."
"Why are you being so mean?"
"Because I can't trust people like that."
"You just met her. Come on sis. Can we please get to know her?"

I didn't listen to what Touka said. I still played with her. Sure Touka would get mad, but I didn't care.
~Back to this time~
When I snap out of my memory, all I can see is blood all over me. Blood from the member who had killed her. I kneel down to her lifeless body and pick her up by the head.
"I'm sorry this is all my fault. I didn't want my last words to you to be some type of an insult." I say
I hug her close to my chest.
I see her eyes twitch for a second.
"Ayato." she says in a low whisper
"(Y/N). I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. I've been suffering anyways so I might as well be at rest."
"Don't talk like that!"
"Ayato it's going to be okay."
"No the hell it's not! (Y/N), I..........I love you."
She places her hand on my cheek.
"I love you too."
Her eyes then closes.
All this time I've been so rude to her. I just wanted to live a regular life with her.
