Probably the most annoy Spy set EVER, and the n00b-ish. Yes, n00b-ish. It's good for those trying to get into learning how to play spy, somewhat, and has it's up sides but if you want to be a 'good spy', don't use this set.
The L'Etranger, while not the strongest Revolver, it allows you to regain cloak with each successful hit. This can ensure you have full cloak to use the Dead Ringer often. It's great for learning how to shoot with your Revolver, then moving up to the other variations.
The Spy-cicle is, bitter-sweet. While it say it kill silently, you can hear someone 'getting frozen today' and the icy body is a dead giveaway your around as a Spy with a Spy-cicle. It however, protects you from Spychecker Pyros and Hue Long Heatmaker Heavys flames for 2 seconds at the cost of losing your knife for 15 seconds. Treat it as you 'Get out of Jail card #1' on flame users. Do not hold out both the Dead Ringer and Spy-cicle as you won't be able to cloak again and you lose your knife in one go. If you ask me, this knife is good if there is only 0-1 pyro on the opposing team. Should a horde of Pyros come for you, don't ditch knife, ditch the class.
The Dead Ringer, with the Spy-cicle, is your 'Get out of Jail card #2' with Pyros but your #1 means of passing thru fire fights (aka bullets, fire, rockets, nades, etc coming from everywhere.) A stray shot could ruin your day so it is need to be held out at all times when moving around. It's the best spywatch for pushing bombcarts as you can stand next to it without worry and should you get hurt with it out, you can run away with little-to-no damage. This watch was made mostly cause people cannot play Spy. Most I heard say the Stock Invis Watch is too hard to use and Cloak & Dagger takes to long to get kills or used to be a coward as you can hide forever. If you ask me, if you wanna 'seddle this like gentlemen', use the Stock Invis Watch or it's reskins. No Hiding, no Feign Deaths. (Tho personally I'd hold on to this watch myself just for those cheap OHKOs shots against me.)
The Red Tape Recorder is, interesting. If forces Engis to think carefully on leveling up their stuff. It levels down thier buildings from Level 3 to Level 1 fast but the reverse progress from Level 1 to Toolbox is soooo ssssllllooooowwwww.... However, should an Engi try to save his Level 1 Sentery from going back to a toolbox, it will have to build again where it got stopped at default speed, allowing more time for a backstab and sapping again. Note, you MUST kill the Engi and any other Engi or Pyro with any weapon that can remove sappers nearby before finish sapping with the Red Tape Recorder. Your 'reward' for a Red Tape Recorder sap kill is the Toolbox that is left behind, it works just like a full ammo crate, refilling your cloak and ammo. Teammates like Persian Persuader Demomen, Heavies, Pyros, and Engineers will thank you if you let them pick them up.
