Chara comes from the noble family Lanosins who are well known assassins, masters of the shadows and dark arts, having killed many royals before and after the war. Chara however was different than his family like his sister and wanted to instead be a mage to help folks out. He lived in the main human city of Cathalos in the northern districts, places where more nobles lived and each had their own connections. The lad tends to his families blacksmith that is also run by them, providing weapons and armour to help in their line of work. His father wanted him to be a great assassin like himself and installed several punishments if Chara refused to do so or did something wrong, as such many of his injures were caused by his fathers hand leading to the many scars his has on his body. He hides these wounds from his little sister but it’s hard to hide the one on his face. He endured this throughout his life, carefully planning to run away with Frisk so she doesn’t suffer. However, his elder brother heard of his plans and informed his parents which enraged Padim, taking Charas right hand and shoving it into the forges lava. In retaliation Chara stabbed his father in the side which gave him and Frisk the chance to run and escape the city, despite the burning sensation on his hand. By the time they got to the gates, Frisk had healed her brothers hand to stop the burning and melting but the scars remained.

They travelled for days with Chara carrying Frisk on his back, hunting for food and water and watching out for any hostile humans trying to survive after the war. After a few days of travelling Chara came to The Statues and the Valley of Ebos, the entrance to the home of monsters. He set up camp next to the statues and both him and Frisk stayed there for days on end, debating on whether they should risk their lives to seek shelter with the monsters. However Chara had no choice when Frisks wound got infected and she desperately needed treatment so he ventured into the valley to get for the monster kingdom. Before stepping into the meadows they were confronted by Sans who had seen their arrival whilst flying back from a trip. He questioned their intentions to which Chara explains that his sister is sick and desperately needs help and that they can’t go back to the city to be with their family. He explained to Sans about his entire life as well as his sisters, hoping it would convince the skeleton to let them in. To which by Charas surprise he did, leading the two to Toriel where she tended to Frisk after hearing Charas story. Asgore took Chara aside for more details and what the human city is like. Chara told him what he knew and from then on, Chara and his sister lived with the royal family who treated him and Frisk better than his real family ever did. Chara learned a lot from the monsters, especially how to make potions to benefit him and new found family and friends as well as craft brand new armour and weapons for all the monsters. He even learned to create a Familiar to act as his guardian and to hopefully protect Frisk.

5 months from when he and his sister arrived. The resets started again once Flowey lost control of his reset button but at the same time was when Chara started to get possessed by the glitch minions who had snuck their way in to create genocide timelines to weaken Legendrune. Chara tried to stop the take overs but the minions were strong. He fought every monster, killed every monster, died to Sans multiple times till he manages to defeat him. But he never finishes a genocide timeline because of Frisk who frees him from the possession but this leave corruption in his left eye, causing it to be lost. So far he has caused 4964 genocide timelines.

Facts
~He was taught magic by the court sorcerer Vince Bylo
~He later learned more magic from Toriel and the other monsters.
~He knows that his family would be looking for him and Frisk and is worried they’ll make up a lie to harm the monsters.
~He got his reset button 6 days after arriving in Mt Ebony. He gets forced to use it when he gets possessed in a pacifist timeline.
~Out of the three known reset buttons his was the weakest as it could only reset and have no additional effects.
~He was watched closely by Undyne for a long while till he was told off by Asgore.
~He formed a close friendship with Papyrus and helps him with his magic a little.
~The gloves he wears almost never come off unless he has to change.
~Many times he has tried to fight the glitch minion when it possesses him but nothing works.
~Bit by bit he is slowly winning against the possession but the corruption is getting worse.
~His appearance never changed from accident 2 as he was born long after it.
~He’s the first one to fully defeat Sans
~His father cause all sorts of punishments being private or public. Some include whipping, cutting, punching or torturing Frisk. Never his older brother.
