That's really a striking piece. the way the eyes and mouth of the subject are wide open conveys his physical pain very well. he looks dead, but his last emotions are visible. The transparency of the body (the visible spine, bones etc.) really adds to the feel of death and decay of the pic. Just one thing though; the legs look just a tad too "neatly chopped off". What I mean is some more torn muscles at the bottom would add to the feeling of decay even more.
on the whole, a very beautiful and melancholic piece !

It's very clear that you've done some detailed observation of the piece to come up with such an in-depth comment.Thank you so much
You're right about the legs,I'll try to patch that up.

"How about if I trim the extra space at the top and the bottom and then add the title inside the image itself...or just trim the pic?"

I looked at it for about 5 minutes thinking how I would want to see it. I think just a trim would be perfect. The piece itself conveys enough to gather the subject did something abhorrent and paid with his life.

Again, that is just my opinion. It is, after all, your work.

Great piece. The extra space at the top/bottom throw me off [personally] Maybe scoot the image up and add some typography [as in a title] at the bottom. Overall though, I would say it conveys strong emotion, and thats what true art is all about, no?

I always have a tough time deciding how to put borders around an image.I tried the title at the bottom of the image but...it just seemed to take the attention off the piece. In fact I tried many other combinations till I found something I was happy with. But now that you mentioned it...it does seem a little awkward.
How about if I trim the extra space at the top and the bottom and then add the title inside the image itself...or just trim the pic?

And yes...art is in fact about evoking emotions in the audience as well as the artist himself/herself.Different people percieve art in different ways.Maybe it's not the intention of the artist to convey certain emotions or a certain meaning to a piece...but when it arouses mixed feelings in the public...good or bad...art reaches it's true pinnacle.

I think I got a bit carried away with the reply.Thank you so much for your time and the wonderful comment.I truly appreciate it.

The sketchiness is absolutely great; nice work with the details. The rain might look better if it were a little more haphazard, but that would be a pain.
