Made with deviantART muro"The way the lights trembled before they broke up reminded me of her smoke rings. If I'd said that, he would have known what I meant. I didn't say it. I didn't have to."
-Goldengrove, Francine Prose (page 210)
I am reading this book in my English class, and I was inspired by these lines. In a way, smoke rings ARE beautiful, especially when they mimic fireworks. In the book, the sister Margaret used to blow smoke rings before her death, and now Nico is coping with her death and seeing her everywhere: even fireworks show her images of her sister. These fireworks have an inner meaning: Margaret is still with us. The dead are always around in one's heart.
Hope you like xD
