Description

The Detective started out based on the BTAS version of the Riddler who had gotten themselves some therapy and was moving on with their life. They started experimenting with gender expression just a little prior to becoming aware of the Nexus, and decided to take on a more motherly role in the lives of the younger Riddlers who began showing up. Detective, as the name implies, took up as a private investigator, and eventually retires a wealthy and respected person. In the meantime, they keep busy with various hobbies, keeping up with the other Riddlers, and being the most stylish person in the room.

Detective lives in a Gotham that is very Art Deco styled, with modern twists, and most of Detective’s fashion reflects this. They move back and forth across the gender spectrum, not one or the other, but all. A personal headcanon is that they began small dose HRT in order to better express themselves.

Detective is one of the few Riddlers who can perform magic-simple divination, and unpredictable but persistent visions that began after the removal of a brain tumor and a subsequent dip in the Lazarus Pit beneath Gotham.
