Description Species: Tentacled Shell Slug
Origin: Eos
Size: 8"

The Tentacled Shell Slug are a small species of mollusc from the seas of the frontier planet Eos. They are a soft bodied and slow moving herbivore that have a tough outer shell to protect them from predators. They grip onto the sea floor and extend their tendrils outwards to feed on small floating plant species.

Although they look like Jellyfish from earth, they are completely harmless. They often seek shelter in small groups of their own species or larger creatures such as in Fur Slug beds, but are quite capable of detaching from the sea floor and swimming away slowly, using currents to escape from hazardous areas or situations.

Large Tentacled Shell Slug like shells have been discovered washed up in shallows and in bellies of larger creatures like the Raguld reaching up to an incredible 10' across, leading to speculation of whether Tentacled Shell Slugs are a separate species to this gargantuan shelled creature, or if the smaller Tentacled Shell Slugs are indeed just offspring who venture to deeper waters as they grow too large for their environment.

In any case, the discovery of a creature this large of a sedentary nature at its speculated depths hints that Eos's depths may be more rich in life than originally thought.
