Description
I created this piece while currently being very pregnant (any day now) with my second. During my first pregnancy I created a piece of a pregnant woman, this time I felt more inspired by the birthing proces itself.
You can see a 'multi dimensional portal' inspired by the woman/female anatomy , through which a new life is born. The portal is surrounded by a first layer of 6 leaves, which refers to the sacral chakra. The second layer of 4 leaves at the bottom refers to the rootchakra, as a reference of making a grounding connection. The spiral on the babies head is a universal symbol of the cycle of life and is located where the fontanel is, the cosmic connection a baby has when it's born.
