Seven in a series of Nine (or 12 or 15, I dont even know now)

Years ago I was taking photos on a remote beach on Kauai when I noticed small rocks along the shore just heavy enough to avoid being pulled back into the ocean by the waves. 🌊

The swirling water creates wakes and eddies behind the stones into which different gradients of sand would fall and form unique pattens.

Thinking of these as “sand angels” and delighted by how diverse they were from each other, I shot an entire series of them one afternoon with the intent of putting them together into a collection 👼🏻 I never got around to working on them until now.
