Couldn't think of anything else to name this one, so, went with the straight forward approach...Boom!Another practice with lighting effects. Did this in PS7 with a wacom tablet, using the lighten tool to do all the lighting effects you see there, a mix of midtones and highlights. The ridge forground was just a solid dark brown bit drawn out, and using the same technique, brought out the light bursting over from the blast.
