Pikopiko and Poro going on the Marine Biome Event!
They picked The Shoreline Path, and it was an interesting bonding moment for sure.

-[The Intro}-

Pikopiko sits perched atop Poro's back, looking out over the teal waves of Otepoti beach.
The sun had just barely climbed in the sky, and the two small esk’s are here on some sort of mission.

"Why did you bring me here?" Pikopiko questions his maker sullenly, annoyed that he was here and not nestled on the forest floor in the dark mossy crevices of a tree.
He didn't care much for spending time with Poro. A melodic sound fills the air as Poro replies. "I don't care that the earth told you to come here, why did I have to come?"
Poro's attention is pulled away from retorting to Piko's grumpy query, and instead something glitters in the warm sand a few meters away.
Pikopiko stills from his angry wriggling on Poro's back, curiosity for the item overtaking his spite. The two venture closer down the sandy bank towards the pulling waves...

-{The Shoreline, Chapter one}-

~Waka's Metal Plate~

"Some sort of object" Pikopiko sits in the sand now, glaring at the shiny rectangle that sits perfectly atop the golden sand.
Poro bows towards it excitedly, his tail wagging as he gestures towards the glimmering object. "We're here for this? It's some sort of human thing, what are we supposed to do with it?"
Poro nudges the object, a happy melody is Pikopiko's answer. "These things have homes? It's not even alive.." *Neither am I* Pikopiko wonders to himself, and a sense of understanding washes over him.
He picks up the thing, after all he's the one with fingers, and then glances around the beach. An object sits on a nearby beach, hoisted up on some logs.
He feels a tugging in his soul, and looks up to Poro. "Follow me"

-{The Shoreline, Chapter two}-

~Pikao, Golden Sand Sege~

The object is a long shape made of wood, worn and old but with many etches in the wood that form spiraling patterns and peaks like waves.
Pikopiko runs his claws over the edges of it, before clambering up and sitting atop the side of it. The wood was carved out, leaving the structure hollow with slats of wood over it. Wonder what it does?
"This is where the object belongs" Pikopiko calls to his maker, and Poro leans up on the side to inspect the sides of the structure. A small block of man made wood sits in the middle of the structure,
perfectly in shape with the object they had brought over. Faintly his enchantment manifested, as he placed the shiny thing perfectly where it once sat, and his happy singing filled the air.
Pikopiko fluffed up with a feeling of accomplishment, which was a little embarrassing really. He readies himself to jump off the structure when a bright green object catches his eye.
Sitting atop one of the slats of wood was an uprooted grass stalk, sitting defensively against the high sun.
Poro glances curiously at the smaller esk, awaiting his next move.
"We have to help it" Pikopiko mumbles to himself, before hopping towards it.

---

Across the teal water sparkling in sunlight a different part of the beach boasts many of the same plant, swaying gently in the breeze.
Pikopiko points to the island and his maker understands. The smaller esk scoops up the drying plant and hops upon the mushroom esk’s back,
a little scared of the water despite his ability to float. Poro in response runs towards the foam and leaps in, the water barely
reacting to his presence as he kicks his lil legs to get to the other side. Poro sings to Pikopiko perched atop his head, the stalk of beach grass clasped in his claws.
"Well we couldn't leave the thing there, it would have...well" He is sullen for a moment, the sound of the ocean washing past them soothing his temper significantly.
Poro hops in triumph as they reach the shore, and with an urgency Pikopiko jumps down, finding a perfect spot to plant their passenger.

-{The Shoreline, Chapter three}-

Starfish, Cushion Star

"There" Pikopiko gently rights the plant amongst its family, scooping deep into the sandy earth to keep it safely rooted.
Poro watches over him with pride, when something bright catches his eye. A starfish, clinging hopelessly to a swaying stalk, crying out for help.
He reaches up with his stubby front legs, scooping it away from its perilous perch. It sags in relief once he has it safely in his paws,
after most likely being dropped from the beak of a seagull. “What is it?” Pikopiko glances up at the now towering mushroom esk,
seeing the pink shape in his paws. Poro plops down into the sand to show his son the little creature.
“Another thing that needs help?” He glances curiously at the pink shape, reaching out a clawed foot to touch its textured body.
Pikopiko feels the faintest squishiness of its slightly dry skin, and is reminded of what little he knows of aquatic species.
“We gotta get it to water then, huh?”

---

Another swim and a generous dunking in the water for their passenger brings them back to where they had started their journey, near the craggy rocked shoreline overlooking the waves.
But the starfish was seeking its home amongst the rocks. Pools of water housed little lives even smaller than the esk had imagined.
Pikopiko flitted from rock to rock trying to spot a perfect place for the starfish currently happily attached to Poro’s face,
till a nice deep pool caught his eye. Within the clear water sat many little species, including an array of starfish just like theirs.n
He points at it excitedly as Poro trots over, although it was hard to see around the starfish. “This is the perfect place!” Pikopiko trills, looking down at the pool in wonder. Poro lowers his head towards the rocks,
letting the starfish crawl off of him and back to its little community. A silence overcomes the scene, only the crashing of
waves and the distant caws of beach dwelling birds. Pikopiko looks upon his maker,
a sense of understanding overcoming him.
The cheerful esk that always had a melody in his voice and a skip in his step,
staring down at the pools in wonder, and he was about to say something.

But before he can speak, a brilliant spark lights up the shore, and the two esk’s run towards the sands to heed its call…
