Description Wow. I've surprised myself big time with this lovely picture. Inspiration courtesy of DragonArt, an awesome dragon tutorial book by Neondragon. Seriously, search her up. Her art kicks my art's sorry behind.

This picture was a whole bunch of firsts for me:
--First time using a pencil sketch for the lineart,
--First time coloring clouds and a decent sunset,
--First time detailing a picture right down to the scales,
--First time I've actually paid attention to dragonic muscular structure...

I could go on, but I won't.

In any case, this work really inspires me to draw, paint, and be artistic! I actually had... fun colouring this picture, and because of it, took me only 2 or 3 hours to complete from a blank sheet of paper. That's a lot to say, since I've been uninspired and hard-pressed to draw anything that wasn't related to my video games. I've actually been in this rut for three months.

I think I'm finally truely creative again. <3

I'll have to agree with ArmoredKangaroo. The wings could use a bit more functionality to their appearance. But other than that, I really love this.

Thank you for the critique, AK. I didn't really notice that before, but then again, I do remember fussing about with the wings a lot. I'll remember that for future! ^^

(I definitely will draw more of these 'dragontaurs', since they're the perfect sub-species for a fantasy story I'm working on.)

I really like this drawing. It's impresssively well colored and drawn (as usual), but since you are asking for critiquing. The only thing in my eyes that I can see improving any furture dragontaurs, is to position the wings so that the membrane goes a little ways in past the foreshoulders on the dragon body. (makes the wings look more functional.)

Other than the that. Its wonderful. Excellent work.
