Description
THIS is a drawing of Raen I started in June of 2019. I'd just been to an incredible drag show with my sister and watched a couple of queens perform an incredibly sexy and heart-wrenching performance where they were chained at the wrists together.
Later that night I was sitting at home listening to MUSE as they sang "Glorious". The line:

"Don't close the door on what you adore..."

struck a chord in me as I was drawing this.

For the next 4 years I kept abandoning this drawing and then feeling brave and inspired to work on it further. Raen grew more spikes and more arms. They gained more piercings and more chains. A torrent of blood spiraled itself around them. They began to exude a darkness.

This character represents my sexuality, and as I finally find myself embracing what I was once ashamed of, this 4-year-old project is finished.
