Now that I'm finally done with comms, I wanted to do... something else? Lmao idk but fanart seemed practical. I WAS gonna make this a remake of my very first warriors scene fanart (or at least the earliest surviving one). I'm not entirely sure why I decided on this scene? I was originally trying a few other scenes (e.g. a sad old whitestorm, thistleclaw attacking oakheart, and tiggies death) but nothing was working for me.

I just stuck a few random cats in the bg that fit the scene enough, Dustpaw seeing his dead mentor, Smallear called the warning orwhatever, Goldenflower was there, and Brindleface for space filler. Redtail was difficult to get right because of the pose and he ended up being a bit wonky. Luckily a dead body isn't really good at modelling anyways.
