I was over at Terry's apartment for the weekend while her sister was at a friend's house for a slumber party. We grew kinda bored after a little while, so I decided to pull out my boxes of ChatterBox cards. ChatterBox was a game that helps to start a conversation and get to know each person a little more. It seemed like a good idea to share our little session with you guys, so here's how it went.

Me: Alright, Terry, we’re gonna play a game of ChatterBox. I pick a card that asks something about you, and you have to answer it as best and honest as you can. Sound good?

Terry: Sure, let’s try it.

Me: Okay, first question… *draws a card* “If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?”

Terry: Hmmm… I’d say about 8 or 9, I’d be able to do stuff while being more innocent and adorable x3

Me: Hehe, good answer x3

Okay, next question… Oh, and after every 3rd question, I switch to another category, this one is “All About Me.”

Terry: okay

Me: *draws another card* This one should be interesting: “If you were to write an autobiography, what would it be titled?”

Terry: … Frommm… “From Masculine to Feminine: A Story of Becoming a Bigender Femboy.”

Me: Not bad! Okay, last “All About Me” question. *draws a card* “What’s your least favorite mode of transportation?”

Terry: City buses. It kinda gets socially awkward in them, even when I’m not in my feminine clothing.

Me: Yeah, I can see that happening to me. You don’t really know anyone on those buses.

Terry: Yeah

Me: Okay, which box do you wanna do next?

Terry: Mmm… how about this one *points to the box labeled “Free Time”*

Me: Nice choice *pulls the box over to me, opens it and draws the 1st card* Okay, this one asks, “Which outdoor activities do you enjoy?”

Terry: Most of the time it’s… jogging, cycling, or swimming. I love swimming in the small lake near my apartment! My sister does, too~! ^u^

Me: Ever get mistaken for a beach girl? x3

Terry: Har har =w=

Me: Okay, next one *draws another card* “When was the last time you went dancing?”

Terry: Prom with Hailey.

Me: Ah yeah, I remember that. How’d that go, by the way.

Terry: Hailey made it feel worthwhile. Some people were looking at me funny cause I was wearing a dress, but Hailey told me I was just fine. She took my paw and led me to the dance floor and we danced. I thought for sure the instructors would catch me and kick me out, but I think they didn’t recognize me.

Me: Probably was the makeup on your face x3

Terry: *laughs a bit* maybe, but that night, I felt… almost normal, dancing the night away with my sweet bunny.

Me: You must be glad to have such a supportive and kind girl like her.

Terry: I’m super glad~

Me: Shall we continue?

Terry: Oh, sure =3

Me: Okay *picks another one* Ah, this one’s a good one: “What sort of things do you do while the TV is on (apart from watching the TV)?”

Terry: Oh, umm… well… I’d say read my magazines, play a game, or paint my toenails. If Hailey’s over, we’d paint each other’s nails or snuggle under a blanket with some candy or popcorn.

Me: Aww, that’d be so adorable to see~

Terry: Hehe, yeah

Me: Alright, next category?

Terry: hmmm… *picks the box labeled “The Feels”*

Me: Okay, let’s see if this will make either of us cry *takes the box*

Terry: Can’t be that bad

Me: *draws a card* “What was the saddest time in your life?”

Terry: Oh… *falls silent a bit*

Me: …You don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to, buddy…

Terry: …well… I’d say high school for most of it. Freshman year was fine. I worked out in the gym a few times and… I played some baseball and basketball, but when Sophomore year came around… I began to look at myself and feel this… emptiness inside… like… I wasn’t what I wanted to be, but… I didn’t know what I really wanted to be either…. I, uh… stopped going to the gym for a while and only played in basketball. Some of my old friends were starting to hang out with other classmates, and… I guess… I got scared. I thought I’d lose all of my friends…. Soon after, I kinda felt depressed. My parents noticed I wasn’t myself… well, my old self…. My mom consoled me sometimes to help me feel better. It helped… sometimes. My dad tried to as well, sometimes pressuring me to try my best. They sent me to a therapist… (how many times?) …three or four times to try and figure out what was wrong with me and search my feelings…. *sighs*

Me: …I kinda get the feeling. I didn’t feel like myself when I was in high school either. But hey, we both found friends who help us find our way in the dark, and whether some of them stay with us or not, we can always remember what they’ve taught us whenever we feel lost again…

Terry: Yeah…

Me: *huggles Terry*

Terry: *huggles back, softly wrapping his tail around me* …I love you, little bro…

Me: I love you, too, big bro… *gently pats his back*

Terry: *smiles a little and purrs*

Me: *giggles* …You wanna try a different box, or do you wanna keep hugging me…~?

Terry: Mmm…, I’d go with the hugs…~

Me: *chuckles* Should’ve known you’d choose that~

*We both keep hugging and cuddling for the next 2 minutes*

Terry: Okay… let’s try one more box. You choose.

Me: Okay *picks the box labeled “All About Me Again” and draws a card* “What do you want most right now, at this very moment?”

Terry: A boop on the nose?

Me: *laughs* you sure? xD

Terry: Pleeeeaase?

Me: Okay x3 *playfully boops his nose*

Terry: *giggles, wagging his tail* Thank you~

Me: You’re welcome x333 *draws another card* “What is your favorite smell?”

Terry: That’s easy: my mother’s blueberry muffins. She makes the best muffins ever. ^w^

Darn it, now I want that, too!

Me: *laughs a little* xD

Terry: *giggles*

Me: Okay, last question. *picks the last card* “Do you believe in magic?” x3

Terry: Hehe, well, seeing the things that you can do, I’d have to believe it. xD

*We both laugh a little*

Terry: *yawns tiredly and adorably* so tired now…

Me: Hehe, why don’t we get some rest?

Terry: What about a movie? Kung Fu Panda?

Me: …Eh, sure, why not. x3

After putting the cards away, we both sat on the couch to watch the movie. Halfway through the movie, we fall asleep, snuggled into a blanket with Terry’s head resting on my belly. I looked at him while he rested for a few minutes. I'll admit it was really adorable the way he nuzzled his head on my belly, purring as he did so. Within minutes after closing my eyes, I too, drifted off into Dreamland.
